Alyssa Tamboura

Alyssa Marie Tamboura is a Bay Area native and an adult child of a formerly incarcerated parent. She currently is an Associate at Praxis Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on software and manufacturing industries.
Alyssa previously worked at Cooley LLP in Palo Alto (2022-2023), Covington & Burling LLP in San Francisco (2021), and at Stanford Medical School. Alyssa sits on the board for Put Me In!, a nonprofit that gives financial grants to children of incarcerated parents to play sports, and Community Works, a policy and direct services organization based out of Oakland, California. Alyssa previously founded Walls to Bridges, a restorative justice program and connection program for system-impacted families, and also served as the Chair of the Bay Area Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership. She holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. in Legal Studies and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
